Because she is... genetically not related to him? Alright, not closely genetically related - after all, according to some studies all the humans are the descendants of around 2000 ancestors that lived on Earth tens of thousands ago.
Also, in Japan (and many other countries) is not forbidden to marry a person as close to you genetically as your cousin (i.e. your parent's niece / nephew). But as soon as the images of them came to mind, his father says "whoever you see is your bride to be".

We could take it that those 3 are precious to him but not for the same reasons, but then the father planted a weird idea in his head and that might change.
