That being said I really like how the violence of war is portrayed, it ain't some shoujo flowery fun and games, MC is right to be apprehensive about it.

Cable is such an ideal for his character trope, he’s capable and straight to the point and is intelligent and actually has a demeanor fitting to his experience in war and he sticks to that cold grumpyness, no wishy washy shojo tsundere. Thank you for the mass release!!!

I usually prefer the fun, flirty love interest over the dark, brooding one, but in this case I like both. Cabel so far has been more entertaining than his like, in my opinion. I also like this series a lot more than I thought I would from the initial chapters. The art is great, there’s a good balance between humor and serious moments, and I like that the MC is both sensible and powerful in her own right. I don’t even mind if the confession doesn’t happen for a while.
