I interpreted it as he called her over because they didn't have enough people, but when it turned out there were only minor injuries he was preferred so that she could save her energy for the big important ones.
I thought his side view showed him grimacing because he understood they thought highly of her over him.
But then again I can be totally wrong because the subtle things in this manhwa are TOO subtle for me and I never know if I'm seeing things right lol

I don't think he meant harm, I actually felt sorry for him because even though it's unconsciously, people think higher of Ren than him after white prince chose Ren to heal.
That's why he showed such sad reaction, that's why she was guilty because it was not her intention. TBH I pity the dude, hope Ren and him can be friends.

...pretty impressive for a healer to hide herself so she wouldn't be called over if there were wounded people
