Everyone is talking about this "to be, or not to be yaoi" business but I'm here wondering about how the negotiations was "settled" despite not actually discussing pay rate. Is he getting payed per service, wages, or salary? And by how much?

This reminds me of the interactions I used to read about in the really old stories. I wonder if the author of this story was inspired to some extent by some of Europe's classic literature now. Some of the interactions in those old novels would border upon suggestive themes in modern terms. Yet, in the period it wasn't really viewed that way. Its just one of those cultural things that change over time. Then again, one chapter is hardly enough to say for certain.
