Alternative ending: as she gradually starts remembering him she also gradually becomes more weaker. Mc then asks her if she would rather die not forgetting him or live whilst not knowing him. She says she would rather die and this fills mc with the resolve and love to continue loving her for the rest of his life whilst watching her live her own life from a distance. Throughout her whole life mc helps her secretly financially, from being harrased by thugs etc. She also stays single her whole life because of the feelings deep inside her which tell her that she is still waiting for her loved one, hence why she hasn't fallen in love yet. Mc finally comes to meet her as she is in the hospital bed about to die, as soon as she sees him all her memories of him are unlocked and they both kiss/hug eachother slowly dieing from old age together in the few minutes they have left.
