A Stepmother's Märchen - Vol. 1 Ch. 20 - The Passing of Winter (7)

Why is Shuli's hair so.............. raggedy? I'm only saying it now because she was talking about Jeremy yawning and looking all boorish, but she look a mess too. I mean, her hair is always a jaggedy mess, but even now...?? Especially since this is a big memorial banquet. She spent all her time and effort in getting everything and everyone sparkly and proper, and just put on a designer dress and called it a day. I know EVERYONE can't be blessed with luxurious locs, but damn... Girl, is WAY overdue for a trim.

Jeremy, don't do it. Don't make a spectacle at your father's memorial party. For the sake of your mother and your house, please don't do it.

Shuli looks at Jeremy‘s face yawning.

In Shuli‘s imagination:

Ohara: why don’t we say this engagement never happened?
Shuli: I completely understand.

LMAO

And Nora’s blue eyes are really pretty!!

guys.. is jeremy going to become a potential love interest for shuli? Please spoil me, novel readers.....

Can you imagine the look on Jeremy's face if Nora and Shuli become a pair? That "snatcher" is now "stepfather". Lol.

Nora and Shuli do make for a strange pairing though. As much as the ship intrigues me, I don't actually think they would pair well.

Gosh the stress gurl I can't even do my own job that well but this woman right here handles the nobility and 4 children. Oh my God.

The pacing is so uneven...

It also surprises me that no one is in black anymore. Those are very bright colors to wear at a memorial.

Somebody better pick up that phone, because I CALLED IT! (Literally commented two chapters ago that that kid’s gonna end up being a prince)

Well, the son of a duke isn't necessarily a prince, though. Most if not all of the current British royal family are holding duke titles in addition to the others they have like prince or such (including the queen, I think she's the duke of one or two territories for all that's even worth nowadays), but in settings like this it's typically whatever the highest ranked title you've been granted is the one you got, and in the hierarchy a prince is a step above a duke.
