Well, on the previous run of things, she probably only managed to gain resentment from the kids by booting the relatives out the door immediately. Unfortunately, the kids might need to see for themselves how terrible their own family are to help emphasize how much their step mother is looking out for them.

Yeah, I’m on the female leads side on this one. If y’all remember, she CLEARLY said that the twins liked and were close with the aunt, so in hopes of cheering them up, she accepted the aunts proposal. She accepted while understanding their complete dislike towards her but she never knew that they would dare take it upon the children, in other words, their blood niece and nephews.
