A Story About a Grandpa and Grandma Who Returned Back to Their Youth - Vol. 2 Ch. 28 - Othello

@Akahika On a group trip to another country, we were all kids aged 12-18, one of us gets an extortion call in the middle of a bus ride, saying they had her mom, it felt unreal because i had never seen something like this happen before my very eyes, luckily one of the kids grabs the phone, hangs up and inmediately called the owner's mother, she was fine and her son calmed down, the extortion caller never appeared again.

@Akahika My grandparents get targeted a lot because they always want to be helpful. The ones who need help and my grandparents did help is fine, but its the people who need no help but want to help themselves to all of what my grandparents have. Pretty sure my grandparents got scammed out of 100 to 150k from one person and they never wanted to admit it. Although it is pretty obvious. They did nothing, bought nothing, but almost all the money was gone in a year. Luckily my grandma's younger brothers are well off and can help them out financially where we cannot. I honestly hate these cock suckers who think they have some entitlement to other peoples hard earned money and possessions. It would be fine if these criminals only targeted other criminals, ya know, fuck the fuckers. Throw them in jail and teach them what they have been doing. Every meal they get, take a good portion of their food and statee that you need it more than they do...

wow my first thought was disowned or out of contact son/daughter finally contacting the grandparents

for those who don't understand that last part, he was totally winning the board but let her get a corner to lose on purpose

@siu It's much more obvious because "Hello it's me" is locally speaking a well known scam opening warned about all the time regarding people's aging parents, who are beginning to think slower and are increasingly hard of hearing, thus less likely not process they don't recognize the voice. The chapter title also expressly states it refers to this scam. This is going to be spicy because it's well established now she's mentally sharp again and isn't borderline deaf anymore.

I can probably count the number of Othello games I've ever won on one hand.
Heck, I can probably count the number of Othello games I've ever played on two hands.

>tfw this isn't about a Moorish General living in Venice full of betrayal, jealous, mistrust and misinformation

Wherefore art thou, Shakespeare?

@cheese
"Hi i'm a lawyer representing X, You kid crashed into the car and caused a miscarriage of the woman driving it, we are willing to settle out of court and save everyone time and grief for 5000$"

and my aunt almost gave them money if it wasn't for her husband taking the phone out of her and and telling them to eff off.
Now, that's not to say this wasn't a believable story, the kid is a known failure as a human so it made the story believable, but fact remains, these scammers are horrible.
