How can you don't answering them and you don't know the number is from ? Most telephone has no screen to show the number. If it is cellphone I can understand and I always tell them to "just contact me in WhatsApp". But for business purpose, I have to open the call even it is from unknown number (private number is rejected automatically)

That's the best way to prevent the scam. Write and record everything, and when it's done, say that you know this is scam and threat them that you will report this to police
