my mistake. Didn't take into account the language difference. Most of the people I know personally would have gotten the comment. Didn't think about the differences in main languages. From a reading perspective, if I hadn't read it I would not have posted unless it was a question about the plot or theme in general to determine if I wanted to read it. Wouldn't bother asking about a character since I figure I would learn about characters if I decided to read it.
