A Story About Treating a Female Knight, Who Has Never Been Treated as a Woman, as a Woman - Vol. 1 Ch. 13 - The Female Knight and a Massage

Everyone is going on about the scar on her back and his massaging through her armor, but no one is interested in her depth perception with just one eye and swinging a sword around.

She broke 6 of his ribs that day, it was the best pain he had ever felt.

@Vasqueztion

It's kinda different, if one does a horizontal swing with a 12 feet long sword you gonna hit things nonetheless than if one does a vertical slash with a 3 feet long sword. But I get where you are coming from.

@Vasqueztion and @Ironclad in the second or third chapter we see him heal a "minor" injury, and it still left a scar, so it's possible that someone got to her in time to heal that gaping hole in her back, before the will power holding her spine together, wore off. That or she used a bit of duct tape, some spit, and one of her explosion spells to weld it back together.

@GurryCurryBurry - Leo doesn't have depth perception. But her enemies die even if the sword strike didn't reach. Either because it's magic that depends on being sure the sword hit, or because of air pressure or any other sort of ranged sword strike.

Speaking as someone blind in one eye, your brain learns to compensate. Binocular depth perception is huge, there's no denying that, but other forms of depth perception exist. Shadows, obstructions, and a fixed reference point to measure by (like an intimately familiar length of steel) are all things that would help mitigate the loss. It's not perfect by any means, but it makes the difference between recuperation and permanent retirement.
