For this, I don't really agree with Mangadex. Yuri and Yaoi are basically implying there will be some kind of physical action going on, often seen as more lighthearted. Shoujo ai and Shounen ai tend to imply a lot more story/drama, but not necessarily anything more than a kiss or a hug in terms of physical relationships. If anything happens, it tends to be only implied or off screen entirely. When both are present, it basically means a drama filled fuck fest, or similar. The Smut tag says it all too. Also does anyone here not know what hentai means?

I've gotten so tired and bored of these terminology discussions. As long as the site has some kind of more or less consistent convention I'll work with it.

For an example of taking time to build something interesting, consider Chapter 2 of Shop of the Lamp. When people say that A Village Protected by a Dragon is slow, they are saying that it spends a lot of time without building much of anything.

My guess is that Asian webcomic publishers typically try to maximize total present discounted value by having stories paced to pull small amounts of revenue for each of many episodes. And this practice, in turn, conditions their audiences to accept episodes in which very little happens.

There are multiple conventions in labelling. The uploader probably follows a different convention from that which currently prevails on MangaDex. MangaDex is going to change its convention in the future, to one isomorphic to that used by the Japanese, but it won't actually be using “Yuri” as a label.

Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if, at some point after they switch to “Girl's Love” (which ought of course to be “Girls' Love”, but admins gonna admin), there is an campaign to add back “Yuri” as a tag, and maybe “Shoujo Ai”.

thank you for the upload, though I can't help but feel some passive aggression from the illustrator's sarcastic remarks regarding Long's .... breast size... I miss yuri with dragon girls with oppai. This is a fun series.
