Hooray another chapter! I like how the step-sisters interact with each other and their mother, not just through dialogue but also the little actions, like crowding around their mom when she got the letter. It's sad but understandable why Ashley is so scared and hesitant after being mistreated, I hope that Mildred can apologise and that they'll grow closer.
