Of course, his timing relative to the notice of her husband's death is... questionable, although not necessarily unforgivable. And the way he presses his suit so doggedly, justifiably raises concerns, as it should in all cases widowed or no. And, I still have no idea how old he is.

But in general, the notion that no widow would want to be romanced seems quite contrary to human experience. Are we supposed to abandon widows and widowers to solitude, even if they don't wish it? Just to maintain some romanticized notion of the permanence of marriage? At the very least, someone should certainly be allowed to ask if they're interested.

I agree with the previous author. A widow should only be left alone because she's been married several times, even if she's not old? But age doesn't matter here.
Although many people condemn such actions (see Elizabeth Taylor or Zsa Zsa Gabor), I think no one has the right to interfere in the other's love life.

@Pokari I seen an ancient business card of a real life gigolo making the rounds on fb the other day, he specifically specialised in widows which is insanely sad. I can't imagine how stigmatised it was back then let alone the stigma still associated now with when is the right timeline for a widow or widower to pursue a new relationship. There's always so much outside judgement involved, whether someone insists they're fine on their own, begins a new relationship or like is being pressured to remarry (currently happening in one manga I love that features a widower.)

Male lead certainly has come on a bit too strongly but for mc, and her character in general, he's probably something of a breathe of fresh air.

Not much is happening in this story in comparison to some of those far out plotlines that I've seen but..... I always feel so pleasant after reading a chapter of this!
