When I get to the last page of a manga and the recommendation page shows up (which I personally enabled), It will show me my unread chapters (Which I assume is intended). However, clicking on one and reading that chapter does not mark it as read. I've had to click on the title, then click on the chapter that I want from there for it to work. I know that the feature is in BETA, but I couldn't find anyone on the forums already bring this up, and I sincerely apologize if I waste your time.

I've also found that as long as the "recommendation" feature shows up (which it only does on the last chapter), it will not be automatically marked as read. I assume that whatever is marking the chapter is read is being blocked or cut off by the recommendation. Full disclaimer: I don't know anything about how mangadex works, this is just a guess.
