So what I'm getting here is that the sword was a living thing, something like Fi from Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (except without a physical avatar body...maybe). When it sacrificed itself to save the ML, the blast killed the sword's "soul". Perhaps because of its sacrifice, the "soul" got to be reincarnated as the FL and live an actual life. Meanwhile the ML probably got the sword fixed and became attached to it, but since the "soul" left the sword, it's most likely just a regular weapon. It's like dating a corpse, there's nothing there anymore.

So to sum it up: Sword was alive, sword died and got reincarnated, its owner is in love with sword's dead body, and 100% tried to bang it at some point. Okay maybe not that last part.

@lovolo I think the first few pages is the present and after the dream (showing a flashback of 16 years ago) is a flashback of half a year ago, so befor she met the hero again and probably saved him or something like that

interesting concept but the execution was pretty bad.
they set up a flash forward showing the male lead's obsessed nature. His sword is present here but it's unsure whether or not it's the same sword or a new one.
Then they cut back to a flashback to when the sword got destroyed.
after that they just drop into present day where she's unsure of whether or not he's dead or not? why the f they even need the flash forward in the first place then? literally remove the first 12 pages of this chapter and everything makes more sense.

@yannickq I think the sword that the hero carries now is just an empty shell...devoid of the magic/soul that had made it a magical holy sword. Kinda like he's carrying her dead body around... >.< lol

@Solistia Lucia is her new name as a human...it has nothing to do with her name as the holy sword. Her parents or something gave her that name, most likely, without knowing of her past life.
