If anything, Again My Life is more like professor Layton or Detective Conan/Case Closed then it is Phoenix Wright.
That said there isn't that many similarities really.

Well that seems to be his goal for now, but do keep in mind that he is not aiming to be a defence attorney like Phoenix Wright.
He is aiming to get a corrupt politician in jail, so if anything he wants to be like Miles edgeworth, not to keep innocent people out of jail like Phoenix Wright.

Why the fuck would the police officer test if he was drunk when he was fucking dead... second how would he even blow into the the thing for the drunk test they would have to do some urine or blood sample which is just a waste of time when seconds can change his fate in a high risk scenario
