I don't necessarily think that the MC NEEDS to be friends with her. However, I do hope that he eventually looks past his mindset on why he originally decided to start helping her study in the first place. Yes, yes. She was a scummy bully in high school and the MC is looking at his long term goal of keeping the main scumbag from rising as far and fast and he did in his past life... I just find it a little disheartening that if people aren't given the chance to change, they won't. She's at least trying, albeit for what seems to be "affection"? However, she's still changing. So, in that aspect I do hope he does change a bit with her. I'm not saying she needs to be his waifu, but at least like a friend or maybe she could end up being his partner in crime?? Maybe, idk if this made sense, but I just threw out my opinion... Just @ me if you agree or disagree. I'd like to know what ya'll think.

@codydub03 I think he doesn't really care about her as a person - except maybe with some distaste cause she is a bully.
I think he sees her as a means to try to get to this prosecutor that leaked the details to the big bad.
But, I think over time he will try to get her to be on his side as a partner in crime - as we see, her relationship with her father is not the best. So, maybe she can be convinced.
