@frozenpot: in many countries where prosecutors enter politics (like the US), no one cares if you're innocent or not, only how big is the case and how good is your conviction %. Just like surgeons who refuse to perform surgeries on difficult patients t not ruin their stats, prosecutors refuse to prosecute important people that later may help them.
