Since this got posted here I figure I'd share my thoughts. I read the ending a while back, and I think basically he entered a third timeline yeah? Like, we found out that he was unconcious in his original timeline and that's what allowed him to stay in the second, so I imagine he just did the same thing. Which means he basically Again'd his Again.

It's been a hot second though, so I could be off the mark.

still not happy about the end. It is equivalent to it was all a dream. Like what happened to all the relationships he built? The people he encouraged, the careers he changed! GONE.

like maybe the ending wants to point out there are no second chances at life so just make the most of your present BUT YOUR CHARACTER LITERALLY WENT BACK IN TIME AND MADE SO MANY CHANGES to have him say he never thought he changed himself is stupid and putting all the time he spent in the past into the trash, as I said before all the relationships he built all that character growth from those around him that we became attached to is gone. I feel like I was spat in the face for wanting to see what would happen to him when he returned to his last year in his new life.

Just ugh.
