@VladDracul2 Revealed everything to Yona & Co beforehand. That way Yona could have collected the whole gang before following Ogi. You know, when some shadowy scumbags are blackmailing you, there's a 90% chance they will backstab you afterwards to cover their tracks, even if you fulfilled your end of the bargain. They are criminals. Nobody with any common sense would trust anything criminals might promise. If they kept their promises, they wouldn't be criminals in the first place. Honour among thieves and all that is just nonsense. Of all things, Ogi himself was an information broker working in the shadows of the society, yet he got fooled by those miserable kidnappers. He should be super ashamed of himself.

@Kaarme The guy was specifically told and personally suspected that he was being closely watched by the bad guys' cronies, so if he so much leaned a bit too close to Yona's ear or handed her something that resembled paper then they would've killed his partner. Also, the guy is a "humble" information broker, not a criminal mastermind or a rich noble with a peculiar hobby, he had neither the resources, experience, influence, readily available contacts or, more importantly, time to prepare a plan for his predicament.

Nobody with any common sense would trust anything criminals might promise.

You haven't read that many asian fiction have you? People fall for it ALL THE TIME IN ALL THE MEDIA, specially in mangas and such, not to mention that even if he didn't believe them he didn't really have a choice in the matter, it was either dying then and there or "potentially" die later while he hoping for a miracle.
Anyways, I do agree with you in the last bit: I can already guess that in the following chapters he's gonna ashamed of himself to the point of suicide, beating himself over what he did and what he could've done; I can already see him losing an arm and a leg to try and "redeem" himself in the eyes of the hungry bunch.

@VladDracul2 Sure, they keep falling to them, in fiction and RL (not gonna fall for your ad hominem, sorry). Not that it would be an Asian peculiarity. All sorts of scams proliferate all over the world, in Internet and otherwise. However, I disagree with you on Ogi. He was even used by the government of Kouka, so there's no way he didn't have some serious skills. He wouldn't have those skills and produce actual results if he really was as stupid as this. In fact I fully believe he has done his own share of cheating in the past. That's why I don't consider that part of the arc especially strong writing. He should have known better. Someone of his level should have been able to inform Yona/the dragons. Information is his job, after all. The opponents were foreigners in a foreign city, so they couldn't have as much control as you suggest.

He better work like a madman for his own sake since he survived.

Awwww yeah I'm loving this slow build of the cavalry coming to save them, with any luck zeno will get a chance to get himself, yona and their team mum to safety and then jaeha can escape.

Hoping hak doesn't do something suicidal here though, but his fury man that's gonna explode magnificently.
