Yu-Hon is such a great person, as shown by him caring about his brother and wife, but if he really was the one who ordered Kashi's death then I really don't know what to think about him. Sometimes, like with the burned temple, he just goes too far.

So we can all agree that Yu-hon killed Kashi right? That feels like what the story was trying to imply. It feels odd to put Yu-hon finding out about Yona's blood and Kashi's death so close together otherwise.
Also, as a Kiss Refugee it's really interesting to see the difference between comments on here vs there. We were a lot less sympathetic towards Yu-hon

The whole narrative is heavily implying that Yu-hon is responsible for Kashi's death, but I think that the story will never reveal it clearly.

It feels like the entire royal family got screwed up because of Lady Yon-Hi. If she didn't exist, so many tragedies could have been prevented.

i think y'all are missing the whole point here. even though Yu-Hon might be a great family man, he has shit for brains and rarely puts effort into thought that is not related to war and killing. he never considers that the actions he takes can affect the people he loves negatively.

@vessalius agreed, altho I don't think it's bc he's dumb but, he's nearsighted and loses all reason when it comes to people he feels particularly protective of. Even tho he is at his core a good person, he has the makings of a very brutal leader.

Like the strong hints right now that he killed yona's mum, and the after effects of killing the priests is obviously that some kind of punishment will catch up with him, in turn driving his wife's mother to suicide. Not to mention the war atrocities he committed in that other kingdom which traumatised the now Queen and directly led to the. Succession fight. Like... Even with the extremist worship they had, that kind of brutality isn't what you want of a wise ruler, you don't want to be known as a ruler who took a sledgehammer to a wound that could be fixed with a scalpel.

But then yona's dad went too far the other way, both bc it seems he didn't want to repeat his brothers mistakes and bc he wasn't actually raised to be the ruler. And of course resentment and hatred of his brothers actions which escalated everything in ways no one ever wanted them to. Of course also effected by the fact no one but mundok blessed his leadership, and almost no one had any expectations for him. I wonder if he was purposely just trying to act as a placeholder while blindly believing his kid could fix it all. There's also the fact he could have known suwon would murder him too...

It's just sad all around. Like you can literally draw every modern event in Kouka back to Yuhom' s biggest acts of brutality and the domino effects of them. Even without the multiple povs we have as readers, a person thinking in their right mind should be able to tell that purging an entire group of people won't end up happily effecting your loved ones.

as much as Yu-Hon killing Kashi is obvious I think we still can hope for a plot twist.

Like what if it is atually Il who killed her ? we never sow them as a lovely couple, so far he protected her for her power. what if she sow in the future that Yu-Hon will be an enemy therefor Il killed her make a great excuse for him to get ride of his brother.

than again Yona's father didn't seem that bad of a guy to kill his wife, but this chapter imply that Yu-Hon was killed becase he killed Kashi, which means that Il either killed his brother to avenge his wife, or killed hid wife to kill his brother
