I feel like that Yuhon doesn't kill Kashi? He is irrational and violent but I don't think he is a liar...

I mean we don't know if he did it yet or if he did then why.
Still killing someone's wife and mother when they have nothing to do with anything is just psychopathic (whoever did it). He (or his ppl) could've just killed Il if he didn't want Koka to fall to ruin, why her? Why the temple?
I'm not saying that Il was a good guy ,far from that. I just think the temple deserved a better fate. And the rest of everyone just make my blood boil.

How awful for a 9 yr old to go through that, but still, horrible for him to put aside his friends feelings. I hate him more after this chapter for some reason.

king il is a very different character than we first see him portrayed. At first glance, we saw what looked to be a loving father, and a very kind man. He was a ruler who looked to be very weak and a coward, and a advocate for peace. And then through Hak's prospective we saw that he wasn't a coward, as he wasn't afraid to hurt himself to stop violence. So all in all, up to this point I personally had a pretty good impression of him. But now we see that he is religion obsessed, to the point he wouldn't even be a capable king. And as we saw, he automatically jumped on the notion that Yu-Hon had killed Kashi. and I agree with @SylverDrawer that Yu-Hon does not kill without a greater purpose and is not afraid to admit when he has killed someone. He isn't a coward. Not to mention the fact he saw how much Kashi meant to Yonngi-hi and would not take away more people from her, Because it would be impossible for him to overlook the fact that when he had killed all the priests that it had really hurt her. King il had probably harbored a grudge since all the priests were killed, So he saw this as a perfect excuse for revenge. Just pass on the revenge plate to the sociopath 9 year old, who in turn killed king il. Lets hope our Yona can break this horrid chain with her distaste for revenge.

That's a shitty delusional motive from Suwon/Yuhon driven by jealousy because you're "not" the one chosen. Eventough we don't know Yuhon lied or not about killing Kashi he said "you were fooled by that woman" confirmed at least he didn't like Kashi at all.
Suwon being a sociopath genius kid doesn't impress and doesn't make me feel empathy for him at all instead he should just die already like his father and pay for his sin, have to remember he tried to kill Yona as well in the beginning because his thirst to rule, i hope Yona can make him more and more pathetic as Yona is the real reincarnation of crimson dragon king.

wow the author is really just building onto the fact that soowon is the real antagonist of this story. i was really hoping stuff would change between him and yona, but itās clear now what his intentions were from the start. he was so caught up in the revenge for his father that he chose to give up on his friend ship with yona. like the earlier comment said, we have to remember that he did try to kill yona during his rebellion.

What a coward move of King II. Stabbing someone from the back instead of confronting them honestly...
Soowon has always been the most interesting character and continue to be it. Such a wisdom cant exist only in a fiction indeed. He actually gave the coward a chance to save his skin and be a good ruler but the poor fanatic let his gard down, letting his people rooting in poverty, drugs and corruption while waiting for a savior. He didnt even bother to teach his daughter properly... sigh
This is all painting Hak in a bad light. While Yona is at least trying to understand what is going on and Soowon acting like an actual ruler, Hak is just being a roaming fool in love refusing to be unbiased and putting a blind faith in an other morally grey character. How brainless ...

This is all because Yon-Hi is too busy wallowing is despair and regret. About herself and her own circumstances. If only she set things straight when her husband purged the priests and stuff then it wonāt lead to this or became open with Kashi and her husband. Itās one revenge over the other. SHE WAS TOO COMFORTABLE ON HER OWN LITTLE BUBBLE AND WHEN HER SUPPORT IS GONE. She didnāt even bother but enlighten or correct or become a āmotherā to her 9 year old son. HIS SON has to support her. NOT THAT I FEEL ANYTHING FOR SOOWON . Iāve never liked Soo-Won since he first appeared. All those feelings or thoughts he has of Yona seemed way too hypocritical of him. For the good of the country? Who gets to decide that? Who told him to act as judge? In the end itās all for revenge. And he still had the gall to care for Yona? IF KAHI DIDNT DIE. Il might not become the āfoolishā emperor that he is known. But because his hands were stained by his brotherās blood he hated weapons and war all the more cause I would like to believe thatās because he knows all too well the seed of revenge, deaths and killing can do. His wife was killed, he killed his brother and now thereās Yona. He canāt afford to plant another war that might cause his daughter to die.
Putting that aside, Soowon is borderline psychopath. And I donāt think Iād like him as a character even if this manga ends

Just rememeber that yona is reading all of this, what would be her reactions we don't know.
The idea that this chapter supports the idea the author is going down the route of Soo-Won being the true antagonist of the manga are far off the mark.
They clearly have been reading a different manga if they think that is the case.
The entire flashback arc is about the cycle of vengeance and everybody being justified to some extent for their actions, flowing from Yu-Hon->Il->Soo-Won->Hak
That is why it was so significant when Yona rejected this idea of revenge in the manga, realising that it wouldn't be for the good of the country.
This manga is much more likely to end with Soo-Won dying and Hak letting go of his hate and moving forward with Yona, then a climactic battle.

God I hope Soo-Won wonāt die through sacrificing himself for Yona or Hak cause I just hate those type of character redemptions.
I still feel like thatās what will happen but itās such a lazy way to redeem someone, itās like that phrase ādonāt talk ill about the deadā and sacrifice is always viewed as a selfless act but it in no way would erase his past actions so I wouldnāt want the author to use it as an excuse for his behavior.
I assume in a climactic moment Yona would refuse to continue the cycle of revenge by not hurting Soo-Won but then heāll go and do this bs.
Maybe the author will end up making a completely different character rise to the throne so the that thereās no more fighting for the throne within the family where so many deaths have already stemmed from but I assume thatās too much.
Edit: Oh right I forgot he has the illness. I guess in the end sacrifice would make sense since heās gonna end up dying anyway. Still very much dislike the trope of redemption through death regardless of how it plays out.
