Every time a new chapter comes out I think "there's no way the art can surprise me again", and then the mangaka just decides to hit me with stuff like that double page spread.

page 15 would give so many her friends nosebleeds if they were there to see it. I honestly wish I could make it my desktop it is so beautiful but think it be risky if others saw it ever.

I'm usually 100% against any type of nudity and ''fan servicing'' of a character that young but the author never makes me feel like he's objectifying Komichi in any way, which is really rare and refreshing. She's always presented as a happy, super positive young girl in all situations. It helps that the art is always so gorgeous and elegant obviously !

Now, I do agree that as the series has gone on Komichi hasn't been as objectified as in the first 15 chapters. But sometimes the eros just gets moved to other character instead of her.
Now, eros is situational. What's happening is that the manga has gotten so wholesome and spectacular in it's approach that no one gives a fuck if there's a nudity scene anymore. The focus is no longer doing "fanservice" as you said and more showing this girl having fun, and struggling and living her youth to the absolute limit. Showing why she's everyone's true to life idol. Not that the manga didn't do that in earlier chapters, but sometimes it felt like an excuse to put Komichi in situations.
As this last chapters have been centered around her family and papa~ is natural that the reader will look at this in a more lighthearted way. And it works. In the scene in the bath the focus isn't "Oh my god, Komichi and her dad are taking a bath" and more a "PAPA~ YOU ARE THE BEST... KOMICHI BB DON'T CRY OH NO I'M GETTING EMOTIONAL TOO im not crying ok?" kinda thing.
But, if you truly feel like all the intended eros didn't get in the way or it didn't exist in the first place, good for you. I'd like a piece of that innocence, but my studies won't let me.

I'll be the first to admit it can be a very thin line and more often than not it comes down to ''do I feel gross reading this'' . To me this particular manga hasn't crossed that line, outside of a few iffy moments. That said, I've been reading mangas/watching anime since the mid nineties at this point so I may very well have been desensitized a bit!

Ah, don't worry. I wouldn't keep most of the sensibility I have now if it wasn't because of my career. But even I have to recognize that over the 10 years I have been on this medium I might have lost a lot of if not most anyway.
At least there's this comment section here. Some people are still able to get grossed out by all the classically japanese stuff we take for granted and have already gotten over with. It's nice to get their opinions too for a little bit of a perspective change.

Not to ruin the moment you two have here but that "Look at the sea!" moment was made so beautifully and Akebi's abs were draw with special care ( I don't think they've been so detailed before) so not only the author enjoys it, I enjoy it too a lot... I think everything is beautiful, from their movements, the eroticism and the characters, I feel no shame at all with all of this, in fact, someone saying that any of these scenes (or any of the previous ones) were in bad taste would make me question the honesty of that person if they don't drop it asap
