This is weird, this chapter feels off. There was completely no art flexing coming from the artist, it was only basic panels and simple composition all the way through. Even the new character look out of place compared to everyone else. She looks overdesigned, as if she came from a different manga.

I'd say the extreme foreshortening was a bit of a flex. I agree about the character design somewhat, but I can't put my finger on why. She's no more overdesigned than the rest, sans the adult characters. I agree the chapter seems weird though, and while I don't want to give the author more credit than due, I would guess the chaotic feel of it was deliberate to accentuate the chaos in the wake of Chiarashi.
