Akita Land Gothic

@gum
Honestly, I love it. It's like a "cute girls doing cute things" series but set in R'lyeh-lite.

Thanks for translating this and usagi penny Theater, Usagi brought me here and it did not dissapoint

This started out kind of slow, but now I love it! Thanks!

cute girls doin cute things <3

penny theater doesn’t disappoint

thanks for the chapters

@nekoyuuki
Funny you should mention that, because the prefecture here was also based on an actual one, which was, well, Akita. It's also Kikai's hometown.

@GreyArea
Yeah, I had the knowledge that Western comic strips were a big influence on Kikai, it just was in the last few chapters that it clicked which one it was really about. It probably took so long to remember because I was really young when Bloom County concluded. There are so many hallmarks though, the surreal undercurrent of a superficially normal place, the insightful, well-spoken children characters, the way the government is portrayed, and others. Also Akita visually evokes Bill the Penguin a bit.

AAAAA
Its finished?!
I had a great time reading this, thanks for the translation!

Random trivia alert:
Found a rare fanart of Akita by the prolific animator Kai Ikarashi (worked on a lot of stuff from Trigger) from just a few months ago
