I seriously don't understand the reaction. She kept butting into his business when they aren't even close and dismissing any thing he said, got mad and slapped him and then went crying to her classmates. I seriously don't get it. I also don't get why his two friends are so jokey about the whole thing and about him dropping out.

It seems like even the author is try to down play the scenario or brush it off. Either way not enjoyable.
