Imagine seeing this series with the [Comedy / Fantasy] tag and getting mood whiplash by reading through every single chapter consecutively.

he doesn't connect himself with that child. man... this series has a tragedy tag. my bets is that the kid some how gets 'rescued' by humans, does something reckless (perhaps out of spite or revenge) and then demon-san dies for it. though in that case I hope the kid is able to take fate into his own hands after waking up from the delusion that their friendship would have lasted, that or he will become a demon too and pass on the torch
