@IMACOP The MC got banished because the airhead princess had been (wrongly) blaming her for the many accidents the princess got herself into. The king dotes on his daughter, so he blindly believed what his daughter told him. Claude is not related or involved any of this.

However, the king could not approve of the princess' love for Claude because Claude has no power or authority that fits a royal status.
