It usually gives more info on the translation, status of the releases, possible hiatus by the author or what the translator thought of the chapter.

Now I wonder on whom that caffus is based on or if not every caffus is based o a girl from the MC's world. Maybe she will be gifted to him, as she might be unwanted so that they can go home with both caffus? Would they even keep her if she wasn't worth anything for so many years? I don't think that she ever accepted anybody else I don't think that they managed to erase her memories for whatever reason.
I made it a habit of mine to read those notes if it's for the latest release and sometimes I read the older ones as well. It kinda started once I read more and more LN/WN and found the discussions about possible translations interesting.

@DIYTranslations Since the original Japanese text referred to it as アーム it might make sense to refer to it as ARM. Referring to it as Armament makes it seem like a weapon when it is anything but.
