Could've been engineered with explosives considering that the lady at the end there was watching over the facility and knew they were there. Bit ridiculous, still, but the fact that someone was expecting/knew that they were there gives some leeway from a narrative standpoint.

Also, interesting note: Suzuran (鈴蘭) is the Japanese kanji for Convallaria majalis... also known as... Lily of the Valley.

Yeah, no. A random landslide happening right there at that time which prevents them from investigating the site at just the right opportunity is so unlikely that it actually happening that way is just poor writing. Hence why I suggested that it might have been engineered by the woman there. Still not a great explanation, but at least plausible.

Aaaand OF COURSE they lose the files out of a contrived coincidence (even if that was a trap someone else triggered, its timing -just after they read the experiment part but before actually reading any details about it- was ridiculously specific). I mean, I didn't expect the entire "mystery" (my ass) plot of the manga to be unveilled in a single chapter, but could you at least TRY to make it look less hamfisted?

Aaaah! Emotional roller-coaster. The site being destroyed sucks so hard. But this manga is glorious!
It's like Great Expectations: kid randomly runs into a criminal, gets randomly sent to a mansion to claim kinship, later the criminal randomly finds kid again after he randomly got rich in the interim.
Or Goodfellas: guy randomly joins the mob, he randomly ends up selling drugs, then he randomly gets caught. Geez, I wonder why that one guy spends way too much money in Goodfellas while they tell him not too.
All these random and convenient events in all these stories... Ah yes. It's called writing.

This chapter felt like a video game cutscene. You know, where you as a player realise you just can't grab any of the files, so you sit back and watch it play out.
