The FL has like zero personality like the story is very heavily focused on the duke which isn't a bad thing but this girl has less personality than an immovable plant

Loving the mixture of the strong christian aesthetic in the religion mixed with the blasphemous words "Do you think a child can be born with only a woman, without a man?"

Also I'm getting tired of the surprised pikachu constantly open gaping mouth the child has going.

I was getting frustrated at how mute the FL is, then again it's probably the 11 years of abuse of locking were the reason why she's mentally underdeveloped

Some of the comments need to learn some sympathy for traumatized children or even those who have selective mutism.
As someone who isn't comfortable talking around most people and is a little similar to Hailynn' but without the trauma she experienced, its a little disheartening.
And as someone who easily flinches, I'm sure Hailynn doesn't like that she flinches so easily.
