@Esper @rhino36 @beperov They're using a decimal system of measurement, which you can get by dividing the two numbers. For example, 20/20 vision would be 20 divided by 20, which is 1.0. That would make Manabu's eyesight at least 20/2000, which is incredibly low. Amano would be about 20/13.3, which is higher than average.

@GalladeGuy Thanks man. The system used where I live would mean Amano's sight is worse than Manabu's so I was genuinely confused

Also, is this whole getting prescription glasses at the same day you go shop them really a thing? Because I totally could use a shop like that.

@SteamBaron Maybe it's different in Japan, but I remember having to wait a couple days to get my glasses here in the US. Maybe if they have some lenses on hand that are similar to your prescription you can just buy them without waiting. Not really sure.
