Amano Megumi wa Suki Darake! - Vol. 20 Ch. 199 - Leave It To Me

I'm surprised stepping on the other person's feet is allowed. It looks like her toe was broken.

Looks like a big toe poke to a smaller toe
Although how just that will cause a lot of pain, I have no idea

Is it possible to get bored of looking at Ameno's ridiculously bodacious body? I think so, after 199 chapters of nothing but nosebleeds and panty shots, I gotta say, has worn me out. #Feelsbadman

Kinda odd, seeing as most fighting based competition, getting broken toes usually gets missed until the fights are over since the adrenaline is just pumping straight through, tho might have felt some discomfort, seen it and been shocked by it.

Reminds me of the Chael Sonnen vs Jon Jones fight where Jones broke his toe and didn't realize it till after the fight, if he didn't fight through it then it would have been a doctor stoppage and a win for Chael. It was very gruesome and shows you what kind of warriors pro-athletes are, only click if you aren't squeamish.

.

I played a pickup game of touch football and when pushing off someone my finger got caught in the guys shirt weird and I ended up breaking my hand in 3 places (still have screw in the hand when it was set). At the time, I thought I only dislocated it and was trying to pop it back into place while my friends and brother were telling me it was broken, I didn't think it was because the sprains I've had in the past hurt far worse. I didn't go to the hospital till the next day only because I couldn't pop it back into place, amazing how adrenaline works, the human body is divinely awesome.

I think the previous competitions were a nice build up to this (likely) victory. Instead of saying, "they were always 100% the best in all of Japan" it was a much more realistic " they are very good, but so are these other teams of people who are even better. " They are good enough though that with new talent, further training and better drive, they can come out on top finally, demonstrating their years of experience.

It was for the plot because it made sense AND it helped the story.

The toe thing looks like a pretty cheap tactic (though it may not have been intentional either).

Definitely hoping Megumi pulls this one out, but I'd wager the more likely scenario is a realism loss and Megumi taking it well in front of her teammates but needing Manabu to comfort her later.

No redemption for Samejima. Broken toes suck. Broke my big toe when I was 5 when I was chasing my sister and I kicked a chair leg. Cast went almost up to my knee and my toe has a bit of a curve in it cause it didn't heal right

what's the plot to this manga?
this dude is somehow convinced that the university makes the student/ wants to shag some skeleton he knows from back in the day that goes to that uni

okay now, is it just me or the story gets old too fast? monotonous predictable plot, maybe until the 9999th chapter both of them still chasing each other, flashing panties, nosebleeding each time, popping eyes, and no progress.

@theowww you must not have read the last few chapters cause there's been a lot of progress. It's just this manga doesn't try to skip past things to get to where they want. But the MC seems to have pretty much stopped thinking about that other girl. He hasn't said her name in a while, though he still wants to get into the same university, his most recent motivation shown for it was to make up for him failing before, not to chase the girl. He also is now conscious of Megumi on a level of "I'd rather have you around" and not just "Her dynamite body is distracting"

Also for everyone else I think the toe poke was unintentional, and the refs just straight didn't notice whether it's illegal or now, cause it was in the middle of such an intense clash.(Though pretty sure stepping on toes intentionally is illegal in kendo, but just guessing there)
