This is the problem with childhood friends and why they don't win in a series with multiple options.
They are always the most boring route. You don't get to see the development, they don't share chemistry other than being together for longer. You don't like them together as much as you pity them.

@LecherousLeech yeah pretty much, gonna clue it to the gyaru and him just being more compatible, its just astonishing that thats enough to destroy all this attachment to amano for people, and might not be the authors best decision...
I mean looking at komi cant communicate, a lot of people like manbagi(also a gyaru), but you never see people saying they like her more than komi, and yeah, komis great, but its undoubtedly also because manbagi doesnt show up for 100+ chapters and were way too attached to komi by that point.
this series has had 200 chapters, and amano is honestly pretty great. by internet standards, just her having bigger tits and ass should appease some, and her hardworking and disciplined personality in kendo is pretty hot. but bam, smart gyaru defeats all that by being a big ol nerd, who'da thought?

People only want the nice things on a relationship and not the responsabilities (They arent dating yet though) That's why they are always cheating or never settle down at all.
I myself find what Amano did, Adorable. She is acting just like a jealous wife who has longed to see his hubby all day just to find him fooling around with someone else, thankfully it was a misunderstanding. May be annoying but that's how you know people really like you.
