Amina of the Lamp - Ch. 28

What is this stupid "identity crisis" plotline? Amina is all like "no, I'm not a djinn, I'm not like them!" and it's like... no shit? They are slavering borderline mindless beasts whereas you have full possession of your mental faculties. They are some weird fusion of mana and human flesh whereas you are a construct entirely made of mana. There are pretty much no similarities at all? I get that she's supposed to be "in-doubt" or whatever because a maid said some mean things to her one time but this is just such a dumb plotline.

@sinkingship Agree. Hopefully that isn't a plotline. Clearly she knows she's a mage. 100s of years stuck inside a lamp won't change that. And from the sounds of things djinn's are artificially made. I can't imagine she would be that dumb... well at least I'm hoping not. I would rather find out why they're being made and more about what happened to the magic etc etc rather than amina learning to "identify" as a djinn. Thats stupid af.

Didn't expect that censorship of the stab lol.

So since Amina's form is preserved by mana, does that mean she's just made of mana now and has forever lost her physical body? What I mean is if the mana that is used to preserve her body is like used up will she disappear, or something

Hhoo boy. Hhhhooooooo boy
She is not necessarily the same. Its more like... She is what they wish to achieve. Eternal life with 'unlimited' power
Many thanks

@scarlet_summer it was mentioned early on that once she uses up all that mana she returns to the lamp and restores it there for the next many years. Using up the mana is the main point of the three wishes.

@sinkingship I really agree, it feels quite forced. If anything she would be considered the perfected being with 'unlimited' power that they wanted to recreate like what @unime said.

Why do I feel like the queen and Jakal's mother saw right through this psychopath? Also, was the creation of djinns the reason the old mage were attacked and killed...
