Huh. So is the "wish" a "must" for her to do magic? I thought she was just granting wishes out of whim and her excuse to chase the kid out. And casting thrice will make make her go back to lamp due to running out of magic. I mean, she did chase out other guests after sending him home.

@Winterspring From what I understand she can indeed cast magic on her own, but in order to accomplish a specific goal that may or may not be beyond her capabilities she needs to, as she put it this chapter, see the "Causality Lines." She may be a mage, but she was a young mage before she got trapped and only came of age when shit hit the fan. As such, what spells she does know are limited. She has mana and a medium, but the technique to do a specific spell or cause something specific to happen on her own depends on what she managed to learn during her time studying. Otherwise, she needs those lines.

gotta be real though, drought can still happen after this sudden flood and water. i wish the prince think way longer than that, like endless stream of water in the river for eternity, so that even drought can't reach them.

imagine the prosper their kingdom will have when they owned the river and could provide water to all neighbouring country. could be a war but i think its better than uncertain/dry future. but eh she gotta get those spotlight so idk man
