An Island Named Desire - Vol. 3 Ch. 20 - 19th Night: Island of Immortality

Sorry, seems the auhor wanted to add a big twist at the end but he had a massive brain fart while writing it and nobody cared about it as this manga was axed anyway and there was only 7 pages left...

Jesus, what the fuck.

I didn’t expect this manga to be particularly good given its premise, but it somehow managed to be worse than foreseen.

Holy shit. There was a bit of everything from
(reverse) cucking
and
gender bender
to
rape
and
incest
(o_O)

A pity it was executed so poorly... (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

What.

I feel like the better direction that this series could have gone in would have been to explore the different factions warring against each other. That actually got kind of interesting for a moment... or at least a whiff of something interesting, before the author gave up on it.

This ending just doesn't work though.
What about everybody that died-- do they get revived and reset? Memories edited so they never existed for the survivors? There's a lot of dead bodies involved. Are there fifteen, or however many sets, all doing the same thing? Why can't that single lump just be used indefinitely if it splits as infinitely as they claim? They can evidently produce multiple, er, producers. Does in-vitro not exist? It's not like there was any mystical reason presented why it had to be him. What about the rest of the island? There was that kid hanging out with the wolf clan. Does the entire island get wiped and reset?
Gaaaaaah.

Wow, the worst thing about this ending is that it somehow isn't the dumbest manga ending I've experienced. It is pretty close, however.

Well, the ending made absolutely no sense.

If all they wanted was food, there'd be no need for this weird island in the first place.
Just keep Kii captive, impregnate her, harvest from her, and repeat for all eternity.
No need to kill her and use her remains to revive Kokonoe.

Also, if Seimei was Hiroaki all along, why's his chest so big?
Considering Meimei's mother's chest, it would've made more sense if Seimei was flat, and Meimei not.
Sure, the author didn't want to make it obvious that Seimei and Meimei aren't related, but what's the in-universe reason for his large chest?

There was also no reason for switching Hiroaki and Takaaki.
Hiroaki (as Seimei) could've just hidden out of sight to shoot Kokonoe. It's not like Kokonoe noticed Seimei was missing anyway...

These boys just wanted to get fucked, but now they're mindfucked.

@Nolonar they got more then one island...
Her mother has a larger chest because she is older or alternatively she has a stronger set of gene structure, it’s already been said that the fetus is cut in half....Even when done in reality for example horses even though their the ‘same’ horse, one was more dominant then the other this included even when it came to strength....
Oh wait you are talking about the brothers...well he probably did ops or take hormones to help appear more fem to pass as female though how could be various I guess

Ummmm actually it might be because she can only have one child or because she can only be fertile to who she wishes to mate with and dose it like say birds they work towards having a child and raising it or something like that....(Though considering the growth rate it’s probably the first one...) It could even be because after she gets pregnant her body becomes a egg 🥚 the child grows fast and hatched out of her maybe even ‘being her’ again
I mean you got to remember that girl you see at the end, that’s not her, that was the fetus .....I mean their making him fuck his own daughter who has her mothers memories ...(if it’s anything like my egg theory I guess it dosent matter...but still)...it’s part why they kill her so carelessly
When they were speaking of feeding they meant the corpse of her and her twin could supply food for 3 months ...I think after their dead the cells do not continue splitting but don’t spoil...

Still who are these ‘brats’ anyway? Are they kids from Japanese society who are outcasts that been sold for the ‘greater good’ or are they males of her species that have no memory of what they truely are?

So in the end there was no explanation of why Kii head was deformed like that. I mean, compared to the others the top of her head had at least 10cm more.
This last fight against the big fox woman was a bit to easy. Completely defeated the sense of accomplishment. That was probably to have time for this last minute twist that seems awfully illogical.
