i get the feeling that the original powerful and intelligent demon female lead wanted to die as she said fuck it and stored her soul in a human shell knowing the consequences

I really really like this series so far.
Ahh... 
What a bunch of mixed emotions. So she was meant to die anyway because of her own power? Maybe her past self thought dying was worthy as long as she could live free? Or maybe did she want to live a human life, falling in love, having kids or something?
It's just difficult to believe that as powerful as she was, she took that decision without knowing. Obviously she knew the consequences but why?
Maybe death won't be the ending of her, who knows, despite that, I can't help but being worried for her. At least her actual self, her life, her family, everything would dissapear.
He doesn't seem that hurried to take her life if he thinks about her feelings and pain, he's even giving her time. *Sighs*
