Ani no Hanashi

When I first started reading this, I liked it as a love-story told through the eyes of an outsider, this case being the little brother looking in on the blooming relationship between his brother and his friend Nana-kun. But as this short story developed it kinda became more than that and got better (and hit a little too close to home in some parts lol) and became about the loyalty between family, to support each other through thick and thin no matter what. Fumi growing up as the years go by and seeing his brother less of this well-adjusted adult and more of a genuinely struggling boy crushed under his responsibilities felt all too real,
and the ending where he mentioned he wanted to repay him for all he did and everything he sacrificed for them throughout the years - only for the brother to smile and tell him he already did.
Ohhh man that part was just so sweet ;w;
plus the fact that the brother ended up staying with Nana in the end and even had a family dinner with the two brothers introducing their finances to each other and getting along

Makes me wonder if the mangaka had similar experiences before, and I really appreciate them giving these characters room to grow in such a small story :')
