I really like the color page illustrations. Nozomi's is perfect, a cage with an open door, meaning she's the only one keeping herself trapped. Shino's is either less on symbolism or just harder to interpret. I guess she's outside a cage and not trapped, wearing a dress because she wants to be more mature/adult, but she has no idea where she's going so she's just standing there with her lantern?.....

...I'm starting to fall into my high school literature class habits again. 'Look! there's lily pads! That means something! Totally!'
