@eviljackspicer The angst is too overwhelming for me as well.
It remind me when the relationship of "bloom into you" series getting so intense on the latter half that I have to bail out. It was really not pleasant.
I hope that the next chapter will be more cheerful

The constant blushing is rather adorable.

@jRyder96 - What's there to avoid for Akiko? She scarred by what went on in her family around Christmas time, but she has no connection to her dead sibling, no memories. It would probably be best for her if something good happened to her around this time to replace the background doom&gloom with a happy memory.
As for emotions breaking out, I think it's the Japanese way, at least traditionally, to not allow that to happen.
Better jump off a bridge instead of "burdening" someone.

I like the story, I'm not interested in yuri there are lots of manga for yuri but this one is uniq about loss of the loved ones.
