there's a lot going on here, shino lost her only family and found solace in her brothers wife, the only other person who could know her pain. somewhere along the way, the familial love for her sister (in-law) started to warp towards romantic love. she doesn't realize it yet because she's a child emotionally. Nozomi is in the same boat, she began to fall in love with the person she relied on for emotional support. nither are aware of the themselves.

This is the best shojou ai ongoing, and only getting better.

When rereading and paying attention to the excellent art and the occasionally very to-the-point self-monologues, this manga is clearly a slow burn slightly-twisted romance. The mangaka has skill to handle the two leads innocently heading into crisis, so trust her. The introduction of Heidi makes it clear that the LGBT subtext is being addressed now. Kuzushiro's more energetic romance manga are yuri. (How the hell is this by the same author as Inugami to Nekoyama...)

This reminds me of My Unrequited Love by TMnR, even though Uta's brother is not dead she fell in love with his wife, they divorced and Uta (working member of society) ended up living with the wife...(there was never any kind of romance between them and that grinded my gears) still I enjoyed the story, it was left as an open-ending end but I was still left unsatisfied.
