This chapter just makes me hate Asshole-coach even more. "A playmaker????" you mean the thing you have been tricked to become by the coach?? And he hasn't even hinted at you or given you the minimal guidance on how to properly become one!??? yeahhh that playmaker. Let's not educate Ashito on the one thing he is good at, let's just throw him in the match and pray for something good to happen.

Jesus, I understand the concept of letting the kids figure it themselves and grow. But this is just nuts! I'm loving this manga so far, I really like MC, but things like this just rub me in the wrong way

For those mad at Fukuda, He's teaching Ashito the best way he can. In case y'all forget Ashito learned how to pass a ball a month ago. He needs to piece things together at his own pace or he's never going to understand anything.

The answer is obviously they want Ashito to focus on defending first, a skill he starts at 0 with, before honing his playmaking. He only has the trust of a few teammates anyway. You think a playmaker who doesn't have the complete trust of his team is effective?

This moot point keeps getting bought up when Ashito's reluctance to ask for answers has been shown already. Read more slowly speed readers.

While his teammates are willing to oblige him when he asks for help. The coaches don't need to baby him when they've already hammered these fundamentals to the rest of the youth players since junior youth. The knowledge is around him. Furthermore, they don't need cater to him. It's his job to get up to speed.
