I've just reread the whole thing, really awesome manga, probably one of the best, with excellent characters (especially the genius Otomo).

That's what happened when you play with sweeper keeper (real life example and probably currently best in the world: Neuer), they sort of become the 3rd CB because of their high position. It's the norm nowadays, GK need to be good on the ball. This manga is really realistic, it's amazing for people who are interested in football tacticallly!
