I so don't get it. Like at all. But after reading the comments of other people, I guess the author is alluding to that that tall blonde guy and the tall, black haired girl are gay and love Tai and Futaba respectively? Or that that tall, blonde guy loves his sister-in-law, who chose his brother in the end. His description of his ideal type sounds a lot like her, I mean.
