@jimmyclear An asshole noble? Really, with all these isekais and fantasy stories, do nobles need any real reason to be assholes?
Though, I'll be honest, he shouldn't be that smug. His forces were the reason they were able to get away. If they really wanted to ensure nothing bad happened, they would have just executed them. It's negligence on the Noble's part for lagging on the decision.

its usually a snake head instead of its tail, thought according to wikipedia there is some versions with a dragon tail. but usually its a snake....
still its not a scorpion stinger as the whole point of the original chimera was that it was a mix between 3 different animals with 3 heads who lived in some random ass cave up the mountains xD

@yldDavid the original chimera also lived in a cave deep in the mountains and goats are actually pretty good mountain climbers.
also the whole thing with the goat head doing magic comes from the fact that in the story of the chimera, the goat head was the head that was able to breathe fire.
( considering the head originally came out from the back/top side and not the front like the lion head, it was in no position to do anything else really )
basically it was a "normal" lion with a flamethrower goat head on its back and a snake head as a tail.

@Goldenzeal pretty sure a manticore is the one with the scorpion tail with a stinger though there are many versions of them
