a manticore have a scorpion stinger indeed( or porcupine quills) , but it only have one head and thats a human head.
( even if most of media nowadays changes that to just a normal lion head to make it look cooler and less disturbing )
Chimeras is however indeed a catch all word for a creature ( even for real world humans ) who have body parts from two diffrent individuals and its not wrong to call it that....
but lets be real here they clearly are trying to depict the original version as it have both a goat and a lion head with a none standard tail.
