Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou - Vol. 6 Ch. 36 - Demons

after this she denys that she loves him till vol 5 or 6 of the ln where she blows up the church with all the priests inside it and hajime cheers her up

eh they cut the part when Shimizu also demands Hajime to hand over his bunny slave, Shea's reaction and harsh words took me by surprise (I began to read the novels after watching the anime)

Why? Obviously because he's scum and there's no saving him.
Teach's reaction of wanting to save that scumbag is ridiculous. No one in their right mind would even consider saving him after all he did, no matter how saintly you think you are.

Just read all of this and its an actually good MC because instead of winning everything he actually works hard as hell

Love an MC that actually has balls to do more than try to talk everyone into being friends.

Man, even after the third time reading through the available chapters ... MC is edgemaster supreme. I really wonder if the mangaka made him like this purposely to play into the stereotypes ... or the mangaka really thinks this is a cool MC lol

Oh well, I still enjoy the manga for what it is

@goodhunter
This manga started off fairly good in my opinion.
It looks like it was supposed to play with stereotypes but just but went chunni edge-lord and more the generic route. Even messier is the application of science and technology in the world lore.

@optimist well, it played that line of mocking stereotypes and actually being stereotypical ... and it eventually just became the thing it intended to mock. Just because the mangaka admits and jokes that he's a chunni edgelord doesn't make it any less edgy. I still like the story and want to see this to the end, but seriously what is up with that popped collar dark coat jacket and eyepatch look for fucks sake lol. We have the Japanese edgelord version of Samuel Jackson's Nick Fury with big ass macho anime guns to boot. Like you could still have all these components, and not have made it super edgy. Plenty of mangas have characters that are overpowered, cool weapon toting MC's that don't overdo it too much, I just wish this mangaka could have done the same. You're right in that the beginning started off fairly well, it's when he got out of the labyrinth he fell into that he just went full blown chunni stereotype.
