havent read the novel
but its a mix
the anime has bad cg and the animation is janky b/c studios switched due to the author not liking the initial character designs

got curious so looked to see if i could find the old character designs
if i found the right one it looks very simplistic standard isekai designs that are easy to animate
welp in my quest i actually saw an hour long video, looking at it right now, about cut content
seems like both the anime and the manga cut a shit ton of content from the novel
but the anime more so
one positive to the anime over the manga
anime does better on comedy and facial expressions imo
if the animation was better in the fight id be teetering on anime = manga in regards to this fight in particular
and bad cg is also kinda a plus for some people who find it funny to see CG that bad

The source material is the LN. Not the manga. The most recent chapter of the manga is chapter 45 (i.e. this chapter) which only came out in Japan last Friday. Don’t complain about the translation speed.

Hang on. Isn't Nagumo like resistant to debuffs or some shit? Might have to reread on the treasures he got.

EDIT: nvm... It was NOT the treasures he got. The resistances to basically any debuffs came from those monster meat he ate. He's got lightning, poison, paralysis, petrification, fear, elemental. You can have a look at chapter 7 page 15.
He got:
[ul]lightning resistance from eating a lighning wolf.
petrification resistance from eating a small lizard that petrified the remainder of his left arm stump
poison from a basilisk
paralysis - not too sure what he ate to get this one. could probably come from basilisk too? or the six legged cat he ate? or owl?
elemental - not too sure what he ate to get this one[/ul]

@hayashidayuki Hajime made it very clear in the beginning that he doesn't care about getting revenge anymore. The only thing in his mind is finding the way back home. And he made a promise with Yue to only kill everyone that he deems as enemies. Judging on how pathetic his classmates are, there's no one can be any threat to him. That's why he doesn't bother killing them even that backstabber.

And, no, he didn't spare him just to let Kaori join the party; on contrary, he doesn't want her to join because she's too weak comparing to his other members.

@Zap- This is not the translators fault. Give them a break. Just so I can explain it to your measly brain, here is an explanation.

The Anime was written using the Light Novel story. The manga is also using the Light Novel. The manga is behind the anime.

@Zap- You may want to check for information before accusing somebody. Did you find manga chapter 46 anywhere? True, they are behind the raw for a week or so, but now that they translated chapter 45, they had caught up to it. Manga is behind anime, so what? Take a look at Akame ga Kill. The anime had ended before the source material, which is manga, managed to complete its own story.
